Sprong is a blend of wild ales, aged in oak puncheons (500L) for around 2.5 years, and a barrel fermented and aged saison type of beer. This saison was fermented in a large oak vessel and later transferred to oak barriques (225L) for another 6 months. Prior to blending the two parts together, the saison was slightly dryhopped for another 3 months. We've added a touch of Sicilian sage to the final blend to macerate a few days before bottling.

0,75l bottle at home. Vintage 2020. BB 24.10.2030. yellow murky color, small white head. smells parfumy, minty, peppermint, herbal, grassy, hay. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes citric, grassy, herbal, oak, bit funky, spices, some stone fruits. finishes lightly dry and lightly sour with notes of citrus, herbs and some hay. very nice one, great balance, very good to drink.

Bottle, 750 ml, shared with Zec, JFK10000, Max and Miro B at Miro's Grande 2022. Hazy orange, small white head. Fruity, peach, some mint, bit herbal. Medium sourness. Nice one. Quite juicy.

Flaska från Tommie Sjef iva Samuel 214.. Mörkorange, disig, liten vit krona. Mycket salvia i doft och smak. Fint syrlig med citrus och funk och en relativt stor sötma som balanserar snyggt och bär de fruktiga smakerna som spelar mycket bra mot kryddorna: salvia, ingefära, lite muskot och peppar. Piggt och fräscht och mycket gott.

750ml bottle. Funky, tartish and slightly mineraly with some floral notes, spices, musty farmyardy notes, earthiness and slightly musty with some sage and fruits. Okay.

Small just off-white head over orange-copper beer, big bubbled. Floormop Brett, farmyard odours - what Americans call "funky". Bit of lemon, lightly sweetish impression, and some solvent. Again some solvent, then fruity as peach, nectarine, and very obvious sage. Lactic acid and some - citrussy - sweetness. Lipsmacking acidity, acidthinning and -burn. Low carbonation. We've had better from this source. The sweetness, and certainly the solvent are things better avoided. OTOH, the sage proved a welcome addition.

Flaska från Tommie Sjef. Mörkorange, disig, liten vit krona. Något djupare syrlighet, mycket citrus, apelsin, citrusskal. Oerhört örtigt och blommigt från salvian, nästan lite ingefära-toner, lätt pepprighet och kryddighet, nejlika. Verkligen rolig och snygg kompabilitet mellan den citrusstinna grundlönen och salvian. Mycket gott.

Pours unclear blonde, no head. Scent is floral, fairly intense, very herbal. Taste is tart, dry, oaky, very floral / herbal. malty, medium intense overall. Medium body and carbo. Still not convinced by Tommie sjef, the beers seem to be very one dimentional to me...

Unclear orange, with no head. Tart white berries, sour grain, hay, herbs. Love this. Tommie does Nevel. 👉👌🌿🙀 Lekker, Maaakun.
