Mistrzowski Porter is an excellent example of a Baltic porter. It owes its unique character to a longer ageing process and the composition of several kinds of malt, e.g., Munich, caramel and roasted. The taste is velvety and noble and rich in aromas of oak barrel, coffee and chocolate. The beer delights with its deep colour and creamy foam.

Bottle, 8.9%. Lagery aroma, hint of dust and vanilla. Very dark brown colour, seems clear. Small tan head. The flavour starts off very sweet and quite roasted. Then comes a rather harsh bitterness and later a hint of metal. Boozy with alcohol bitterness. Too rough around the edges for me.

Bottle, 8.9%. Faint coffee aroma. Black colour. Good stable brown head. The flavour is roasted with a good dose of sweetish liquorice. A little salty. Warming alcohol and cream in the finish.

Thanks to whoever let me sample this at the conference room party. Dark brown body with an off white head. Oily, figs and dark malts in the aroma. Same in the taste, with some bitterness in the finish, maybe a bit too sweet. Solid but not the best porter around.

Niby "Mocno Dojrzałe", a w moim odczuciu wcale nieułożone.

Chocolate and caramel in aroma, roasty. A little bit of wet cardboard. 100% opaque, black like satan. Nice, creamy head. Sweet taste with light bitter finish. Amazing aftertaste. Medium body, slick texture, but too much carbonated. Nice warm felling in the throat.
