Mistrzowski Porter is an excellent example of a Baltic porter. It owes its unique character to a longer ageing process and the composition of several kinds of malt, e.g., Munich, caramel and roasted. The taste is velvety and noble and rich in aromas of oak barrel, coffee and chocolate. The beer delights with its deep colour and creamy foam.

Chocolate and caramel in aroma, roasty. A little bit of wet cardboard. 100% opaque, black like satan. Nice, creamy head. Sweet taste with light bitter finish. Amazing aftertaste. Medium body, slick texture, but too much carbonated. Nice warm felling in the throat.

50cl bottle, hotel room, Krakow. Pours near black in color with a thin brown head. Sweet malty, some licorice, syrupy. Roasty, but the sweetness is too much here for me. Licorice notes, bready malts. Sticky syrupy. Alcohol nicely hidden obviously.

Butilka(bardzo dziękuję!!!):Deep, deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, presumably clear, mid-sized loose off-white head, that slowly collapses; sweet dried berries, roasted malt and a slight acidity in the nose with an illusion of port in the background; moderate to solid sweet flavour, accompanied by a slight bitterness and a slight acidity, medium to full bodied, really smooth; roasted malt, dried fruits, vanilla and wood in the sweet and delicately sourish and bitter finish. A well balanced, moreish piwo…

Barwa niemal czarna, rubinowe przebłyski, piana średnioobfita, dość szybko się redukuje do cienkiej warstewki. W aromacie czekolada, ciemne owoce, lekki alkohol. W smaku lekka słodycz, śliwki i wiśnie, ciemna czekolada, lekka kawa, trochę paloności. Solidny porter z potencjałem do leżakowania.

500ml bottle bought at a supermarket in Klodzko, Poland. BB 08/2016. Black color, medium big coffee-colored head. Smells raisins, spices, roast, a bit medical. Full body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Tastes of raisins, malty sweetness, obvious (warming) alcohol, caramel, spices. Finishes sweet & creamy with some caramel and spices. Nice creamy mouthfeel and taste, too strong alcohol punch and also a bit too sweet, but overall nice.

(bottle, thanks to Quack-Duck) Dark brown colour with a ruby shine and a beige and short foamy head. Mildly roasted malty aroma with a slightly sourish leathery touch, hints of coffee, liquorice and dark chocolate. Mildly bitter and moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth, almost creamy carbonation. Soft and mildly roasted malt character with a good bitterness-sweetness ratio, backed by notes of chocolate, espresso and vanilla; lasting sweet-bitter, mildly roasty finish with an almost muted alcoholic strength. 19.VIII.15
