Mistrzowski Porter is an excellent example of a Baltic porter. It owes its unique character to a longer ageing process and the composition of several kinds of malt, e.g., Munich, caramel and roasted. The taste is velvety and noble and rich in aromas of oak barrel, coffee and chocolate. The beer delights with its deep colour and creamy foam.

Bottle. Thanks to Wojtek. Still on the lookout for MJ’s original rate, which is much harder to find, but this will have to do for now. Nose is sugary chocolate, light coffee, berries, some citrus fruit. Almost black, orange tints, with a high, fine, tan head. flavor is sweet and strong, wood, coffee, chocolate, berries and some grape. It is well roasty, and there is a strong vineous character, not quite port but would probably be there in a year. Roastier than expected, but also brown sugar sweetness. Body is light for the weight. bit too boozy. Nice enough, considering it is out of season.

Butelka. Ciemnobrązowe, piana ciemnobeżowa, kremowa. W aromacie palone i lekko owocowe.
