Bottle at home. Deep brown with purple hue and dirty beige purple head. Well, this basically does what it says: a brown ale with cassis purée and chocolate. The fruit is fresh and tart, the chocolate dark but subtle and there’s soft hops and bready malts underneath it all. Solid medium sweet, under medium sour and bitter. Medium bodied. Quite nice.
