7 rue de l'Enclume, Quetigny, 21800, France
Description
At the origin of this project, the inevitable meeting of two Dijon residents accustomed to treating the ambient austerity with the simple pleasures of the table. They were then students of a Master in fermentation processes, in Dijon, with the title which speaks volumes about their interests: Wines, beers, cheeses. This training will lead them to work in traditional Belgian breweries, in particular the Brasserie Saint-Feuillien in Roeulx and the Steam Brewery in Pipaix - the last of its kind in working order - but also in breweries embodying the brewing revival such as Nøgne ø located in Grimstad (Norway) and small French brasseries such as Morgat in Belle Île en Mer.
At the end of their training, they set out fully determined to complete their project, supported by their families and friends. A little over 6 months after having graduated and at only 23 years old, their dream becomes reality: the Brasserie Elixkir is born in Couternon.
Less than three years later, in May 2018, the brewery moved to new premises at 7 rue de l'Enclume in Quetigny. Slightly set back in one of the most active commercial areas of Grand Dijon, the brewery flourishes in a building three times the size, with a layout designed to provide ever more care to beers. In the process, the Brasserie opens a Taproom in June 2018, combining the offer of bottles to take away from the store with a cozy space where it is possible to taste the beers in the best possible conditions and at friendly prices.
