American Pale Ale is a refreshingly bitter beer with an aroma of citrus and tropical fruit with characteristic resin notes. The distinctive aroma comes from American hops: chinook, cascade, citra and simcoe, which are based on a solid, malt base. Fruity esters and resin notes refresh and emphasize the dry character of the beer. Cold hopped beer.
The term “pale ale” comes from Great Britain. It used to describe English beers that weren’t as dark as the then popular stouts. However, during the US beer revolution, pleasant, bitter beers gained popularity and the American Pale Ale style based on New Wave hops was developed. They give the beer characteristic citrus and resin notes and distinct bitterness. In this way, craft breweries differed from large concerns.
We have been brewing APA since 2016.
The citruses in the aroma make this beer suitable for light salads and even desserts such as fruit cakes. APA is also an excellent proposition for homemade burgers.

ABV: 5.2%. Hazy medium to light amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light caramel, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, light citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity hops, fruity, light citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle from Polish Deli at Southbank Market. Off dank citrus and grass aroma. Hazy honey amber. Thick fluffy white head. Light bitter, which gains some strength. Citrus. Underlying boiled veg. Medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry and slightly astringent finish. Dull APA.

Clear coloured body with the lightest bit of haze, along with a rather large three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of bright grassy and citrusey hops that show much more of a 'produced' or hop pellet scent (compared to full cone), but also some grainy malts, biscuits, pungent bread and yeast with a bigger dose of caster sugar than typical as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grass and malty flavours with some biscuits, yeast, grain and some softer herbs and floral elements right behind, while still showing a touch of sweetness and lightly fruity flavours especially at the end after the floral and yeast flavours mellow out. Aftertaste shows a good body from the malts and yeast with a rather balanced hop, malt and sweet complexity with more of a 'produced' feel and flavour than I'm used to, but the sugar and malts make this interesting, if a bit standard and unassuming. Overall, a decent enough beer and good to try, I'm just happy that I didn't bring this back in my suitcase, but my dad did it for me! Thanks Dad for bringing this back from our homeland. I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased from Poland (not sure which city/town), and brought back home to be sampled by me - at home in Washington on 20-July-2018. Thanks Dad for bringing this one back for me! Best by Date on bottle: 21-November-2018.

On tap at Pub Kino, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is quite mild, with floral hops and crisp biscuity malt. Nothing wrong with this - just pretty light and lacking ambition. It's alright.

F: huge, creamy, white, slowly diminishing. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malty, tropical fruits, leaves, toasted tones, orange, tangerine, bit caramel biscuits. T: tropical fruits, tangerine, grapefruits, orange, quite watery, bit biscuits, bit careful APA yet enjoyed, medium body and carbonation, 0,5l bottle from Kuchnia Polska in Brussels.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Snegurochka at a rating session with Finn and TheCellarer. One-finger thick pearl white head, unclear golden body. Lacing rings down the glass. Grassy nose, slightly perfumed. Orange and grass to the taste character. Mid-dry, bittersweet finish. A bit flat in the mouth. Average. (Tromsø 26.01.2018).

Flaske 500ml spandert av Snegurochka og TheCellarer. Delt med dem og Rune i WCveien 26 Jan 18. Gyldengul. Litt uklar. Høyt luftig kritthvitt skum som daler veldig sakte. Litt lacing. Bra fruktaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken grapefrukt & parfyme. Blir vel søt etter hvert. Lett tørr avslutning
