Norwegian Farmhouse Kveik IPA.
Cooking up this collaboration beer with Wicked Barrel was kinda like a trip.
We started off our journey on top of the small, new kveik bandwagon.
After that we went a bit back to Ancient times, for some fat bags of spelt malt.
And then we settled Down Under, bringing in funky, tropical hops.
Not the smartest move, going in blind like that, but that fits our profile.
Besides, without courage, taking risks and a bit of madness, you can’t really discover New Lands.

27/IX/19 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, BB: n/a - (2019-1570) Thanks to the international RateBeer Crew for sharing today's beers!
Cloudy beige beer, creamy dense off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: dank, bit soapy, fruity, very intense, nice. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter start, pretty fruity, lots of grapefruit, dank hops, resinous. Aftertaste: super bitter, dank, tropical fruits, pretty harsh bitterness, dry finish. Nice, but lacks some balance...

Green berries, white grapes, light funk on the nose, like a wild yeast, some hay. A beautiful mix of farmhouse and NEIPA. 4.0

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a medium beige head. Nose brings out a wonderfully creamy piney hops character, with a touch of a farmhouse character. Flavour follows accordingly, mixing piney hops and farmhouse yeast together beautifully. Yeasty, in good way, and piney, with an above-average carbonation, gives way to a complex and highly drinkable beer. Excellent.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks troubles. Murky yellow. Juicy hops, yeast, a bit sweetish, spicy note, bitter finish, medium-bodied. Good.

BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Cloudy bright yellow, creamy white head. Bold pale orchard fruit, dried apricots, gooseberries, white grapes maybe? Seems hoppy but without the resins - dunno if that's the hops or anything left from the yeast, but that is a pretty nice cocktail. The taste is hop juicy with little perceived malty of fruity sweetness, some fruity notes most closely resembling pine apple. Moderate pungent hop bitterness with a few sharper notes în it. All in all, it's hard to get any farmhouse in this beer, it would pass as a regular modern IPA any day. And a good one.
