bottle from Bischberg. Hazy golden with a tall white head. Grainy malty start, robust herbal hops and a yeasty fruity touch round it off.

Bottle from the HolAb in Elsfleth. Pale gold with a light haze. Frothy white head. Subdued aroma of dough, herbs, faint apple cider. Taste is more interesting—mildly sweet up front, grassy bitter at the end with some cider tartness. Medium body, moderate to mild carbonation. Not bad.

Fläschla (RBESG2019): Golden to deep golden, small but stable lacy white head, mild to moderate sweetish-malty nose with an even milder woody hoppy background; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, hardly medium bodied but pretty soft; quite short sweetish-bitter finish. Quite mediocre by franconian standards...
Earlier Rating: 8/10/2016 Total Score: 3.5
Swing-top bottle: Deep golden, hazy, big and stable off-white head with a pinkish(!) sheen; malty and slighly sweet-toasty nose, mild but distinctive herbal hops in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, not too soft; lingering drier rural-grainy, toasty and hoppy finish. Very good franconian Bier, as expected…

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is bready yeasts, pale malts, herbal hops. Taste is bready, herbal hops, on the sweet side, yeasty. Silky mouthfeel with natural carbonation. A bit too sweet and yeasty. --- Beer merged from original tick of Weiherer Märzen on 21 Nov 2016 at 03:49 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.
