Zum ersten Mal anlässlich des 140-jährigen Jubiläums gebraut, ist das Weiherer Keller-Märzen eine Hommage ans flüssige Gold. Unfiltriert, wie schon im Gründungsjahr der Brauerei, sorgt fränkisches Malz (Pilsner, Melanoidin und Cara Red) für Vollmundigkeit und leuchtendes Bernstein. Gehopft hat Braumeister Roland Kundmüller mit Saphir und seinem Lieblingshopfen Spalter Select.

Near clear golden with a white head. Aroma of green weeds, citrus, yeast and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

0,5 l bottle from a Hol´ Ab! market. Unclear golden in the glass with a more than one finger frothy head. Malty and apple fruity smell. Taste has the typical malty bitterness of a Märzen and also the Kellerbier fruitieness. Very balanced and enjoyable stuff.

Flasche 0,5l: Kräftiges Gold, glasklar, feinperlig, sehr kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; sehr fruchtige Nase, helle/exotsiche Früchte, malzige Süße, Malz, süßes Getreide, etwas Karamell, frische Hopfennoten, dezente Hefearomen; fruchtiger + dezent würziger Körper, leichte Zitrusnoten, kräftig Malz, Getreide, Malzzucker, Karamell, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, Hefearomen, leichte eher trockene Hopfennnoten; angenehmer fruchtig-trockener Nachgang

BA at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Cloudy straw colour, mid sized. Aroma of dough and grass. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Fruity and doughy, some red berries. Low bitterness.

Optisch leicht trüb, in der Nase getreidig, im Trunk kernig, Honig, fast wie ein leichter Bock, Karamell, leicht süß.

Bottle. Cloudy amber, big carbonation and golden head. Lightly dusty grainy, citric and grassy aroma. Juicy fruity base, sparkly medium body. chewy grains, light yeasty fruitiness, lightly metallic bitterness, nice broad citric, earthy and grassy hop profile. Moreish.

On tap at the brewery. Golden orange, effervescent, with an airy head. Grainy, malty nose, hay, oranges, peaches. Sweet and fruity, stone fruit, some citrus and apple. Rich malt but not heavy. Tingly, prickly hop finish.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish grainy, sweetish with a slight hint of bitter. Average to decent body, average carbonation.
