Zum ersten Mal anlässlich des 140-jährigen Jubiläums gebraut, ist das Weiherer Keller-Märzen eine Hommage ans flüssige Gold. Unfiltriert, wie schon im Gründungsjahr der Brauerei, sorgt fränkisches Malz (Pilsner, Melanoidin und Cara Red) für Vollmundigkeit und leuchtendes Bernstein. Gehopft hat Braumeister Roland Kundmüller mit Saphir und seinem Lieblingshopfen Spalter Select.

Bottle at Vagabund courtesy of Tomas, thank you sir! Crystal clear amber color, tan head. Aroma of toasted caramel. Taste is bittersweet malty sticky caramel. Nice example of the style.

Clear amber with medium white head. Aroma is musty hops, aggressive grass, basement. Taste is malty sweet, citric sour, fresh, not bad. Easy to drink, not watery. Ok.

(swing top bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Mildly biscuity cara-malty aroma with slightly herbal-spicy and subtle citric hops. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Soft malty base with notes of caramel and a tinge of residual sugar, accompanied by just a whiff of herbal hops; sweet malty and restrained hop bitter finish, getting slightly sticky at the very end. Okay, but a bit on the sweet side. 22.VIII.16

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for sharing. Smooth and easy to drink. Dry and earthy, round and grainy. The body is sweetish with dry malty hints, easy to drink with not too much depth. Grainy dry with a moderate malty bitterness in the aftertaste.

Pours a deep golden color. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Toasted malty, caramelish and light breadish.

Bottle from a REWE in Bamberg. Slightly hazy amber, with next to no head. Tangerine and somewhat out-of-place banana aroma. Full mouthfeel, with citrus fruits, sweetish malts and a boozy finish. Good.

Bottle @ Bamberg. Shared with Pops. Pours amber golden with a frothy white head. Sweet malty and grainy grassy flavor. Dry with a good bitterness in the finish. Very clean.

On tap at Gasthaus Kundmuller . Served in a krug lasting white head. Slightly buttery but I guess it’s not so bad in a marzen. Butter sweet nutty malts. Not much hop. Would be fine without the butter

Bottled. Deep golden colour with a mediumsized white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, herbs, some slight wood as well as mild bready notes. Flavour is bready and biscuity malts along with some herbs, grassy and mild floral hops as well as quite a sweet malty finish. Wellbalanced nd tasty.

Leicht getreidiger, trocken malzig herber Antrunk. Etwas dunkler mit geringer Süße im Mittelteil, sehr süffig. Süßlich würziger Nachgeschmack. Gut. 7/10/13/9/10/9
