Brakspear Oxford Gold is a remarkably zesty brew, with fresh, citrussy aromas and a firm, fruity flavour. Pale ale malts provide the beer with its gold-gilt shimmer, spruced by a hatful of crystal malts to give body, texture and a delicate honey’d wrap.

Organic Target hops deliver a shamelessly fresh perfume, whilst late hopping with organic Goldings and fermentation by our Brakspear yeasts give Brakspear Oxford Gold a fabulous, fruity finish.

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a mid-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly resiny hoppy aroma with notes of cara-malt and traces of liquorice spice. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Delicately bready cara-malty taste with fruity and mildly resiny hops; dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with mildly sweet and slightly perfumed malty notes. 03.VI.13

Bottle from Tesco; I’m having a cheap Sunday afternoon beer ticking odyssey £10 for 6 bottles, I’m not afraid to drain pour if I don’t like. Clear amber pour with massive foam white head, caramel and malt aroma, caramel taste, grainy malts, bitter, dry finish. OK drank about half a bottle.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear golden one with a small off-white top that's leaving some lacings It has a fresh aroma with some grassy tones and malts. It's soft to average on the carbonation with a soft oily to watery mouthfeel. Light metallic pungent as it gets some heat. Traces of caramel, silo and some sweetness. Easy drinking, not completely my cup of tea, but definitely drinkable. 05.01.2012

Silky smooth citrus based ale. Only slightly clouded it is pale yellow in appearance with a creamy head. Aroma is malty and zesty with a lemon hint, more a medium bitter in taste.
