The Phantom Mórrígan, was one of the triple goddesses in Irish mythology. She was the shapeshifter and patron deity of revenge and magic who created the clouds of fog that the Tuatha Dé Danann used to conceal their identities. The Fog in our Hazy IPA conceals heaps of flavour and texture, perhaps unexpected for a beer of this gravity.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 11/04/21. Moderately hazed orange golden with a good sized white head formed of frothy bubbles that stays for the show. Nose is orange pith, papaya, ripe melon, pine dusting, grapefruit. Taste comprises ripe citric pith, melon, weed, light dank tickle, grass, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Decent IPA ... one of the best offerings from that Beer 52 drop ... everyone else get a crap can or just not for some folks palate?

Can from Beer 52. Ooh ! Froth all over the place on opening this one ! Despite trying to be careful, the head took up almost the whole glass. Soon almost disappeared though, leaving a cloudy lemon yellow pour with some lacing. Citrus and tropical fruits such as pineapple in the nose, but not overpowering. In the mouth there’s the expected citrus hops (yawn) but with a distinct sour undertone. Bitter lemon in the finish, but thankfully not too much. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s OK.
