Eingetrübt bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, hefig, fruchtig mit Banane. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

0,33l from bottle at Austrian Beer Challenge. BB 09.11.2016. Amber quite hazy color, small white head. smells of ripe fruits, spices, peppery, light caramel. nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, light ripe fruits, caramel, spices, some yeast. finishes lightly dry with notes of caramel, spices and ripe fruits. quite nice one.

Oct. ’14. On tap at the Lichtenthaler brewpub, Vienna, a guest tap as one of the monthly specials. It poured hazy deep orange body with a big head. Really beautiful wheat aroma, including fruity banana and peach notes, even some caramel along with classic chalk yeast. Flavor was much less intensive, grainy, wheaty a bit with these banana and bubblegum notes, yeasty, too. Very lightly sweet, balanced. Touched with an unidentified spicy note. Thinner body with moderate chalky finish. Like nearly all dinkel beers I’ve tried, it smells enchantingly but it’s thin. Pleasant and a good little brew anyway.
