Fat Lizard Blacktop Porter's little brother, hopped with Magnum and Willamette. Backdrop is an American style robust porter. Despite its style, Backdrop is amazingly fresh, and even suitable as a sauna drink. Its aroma includes both chocolate and roasted malt, as well as a touch of coffee.

Sort med beige topp som blir liggende rundt kanten. Aroma; Malt, mørk karamell, lakris, hint av kvernet kaffebønner, mørke bær. Smak; Karamell, malt, sjokolade, kaffe, mørke bær,søt lakris. Myk munnfølelse. Godt balansert. Lang smaksrik ettersmak.

Canned (from Prisma, Vaasa). Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, some slight toasted tones, mild roast with some dried fruits to it. Flavour is nutty, roasted malts, toasted toffee along with some fruity and mild dried fruity tones. Nice fruity tones from the hops.

Can split at CCV, thanks to Beardy, Cotteridge Wines 08/06/19. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is tangy fruit esters, charr, light roast, cocoa dusting. Taste comprises cocoa sprinkle, ashen tones, dark fruit rinds, charr, fruit slice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Ok porter.

Can at Cotteridge Wines V Ratebeer event; dark opaque brown pour with a massive creamy dark tan head, aroma has chocolate and light roast, taste has liquorice, dark chocolate, some roast.

Bought at Pien, Helsinki. Consumed at Cotts 2019. Dark coffee and charcoal aroma. Dark and glossy. Creamy beige head. A heavy bitter hit. Relatively thin. Light. Average carbonation. Long finish. Decent bitter porter.

Black beer with light beige head. Aroma is roasted and it has also coffee. Taste is roasted and ashy with coffee. Light+ body, could be stronger. Decent.

440ml can from local shop. Poured near black with a thick off white head. Roasted malty aroma, some licorice and chocolate notes. Flavor has roastedness, licorice, coffee and chocolate. Nice bodied, nice flavors.
