Cask at The Haymarket Bar. Pours clear golden amber, thin white head. Aromas of lemon and dusty malt. Taste is light biscuit sweet. Crisp finish. Not bad

Cask @ Ship Ashore, Willen. Golden/amber with a white head and big lacing. Pear, wheat, some astringency, hint of butterscotch/caramel in the nose. Bitter taste followed by a refreshing fruity sweetness then a bitter finish. Watery palette and not great aftertaste. Nothing special but certainly drinkable.

Fra fat på Lamb&Flag i Covent Garden, april-14 sammen med Håkon: de fleste øl smaker godt i en slik atmosfære. Tørr og fruktig med en lett avslutning. Fra håndpumpe på The Euston Flyer mars-17: klar gylden med fint skum.mkyk og smaksrik med urter,mgress og citrus. Frisk med fin munnfølelse ognlang, delikat bitterhet med litt pepper.

Cask. Amber and fiery, bubbly head, flame-tinged caramel nose is quite appetizing. Taste is caramel up front, touch of herbal, powdery English hop.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, caramel and biscuity malt. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.

Nose is cereal and barley and caramel. Taste is caramel and a little grapefruit bitterness. Mouthfeel is suitable. It’s hard to get excited by this, it’s a bog standard British bitter with all the flaws that come with a commercial bottling.

Cask handpull at the Bell in Bath, Somerset. A bright copper colour, with a small white head. Quite hoppy, along with subtle soft caramel. Minimal carbonation.

Crosse Keys, Bank 5 Nov 12. JDW festivaløl. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum hvorav litt fester seg til glasset. Lite aroma. Smaken vassen. Aprikos & druer. Svakt syrlig ettersmak.

Festival cask ale at Crosse Keys, One third pint. Clear amber body, bubbly edge at the top. Mid-fresh fruity hops to the nose. Juicy malts in flavour with fruity bitterness creeping in towards the ending. Clean and fresh in the mouth. Nice bitter thirst quencher (London, 05.11.2012).

From cask at The Hengler’s Circus. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is light toasted malt. Light hops fruity. Mild butterish, bitter, grassy and towards herbal hoppy. Dry, light toasted malt base and classic UK hops herbal/bitterness. Ends dry and bitter.
