Bottle shared at pre-Kingsday tasting. Dark brown color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, roast and apple liquor-ish notes. Original review text: Bottle shared at tasting. Dark brown color, beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown malts, dark candy sugar, liquor. Stronger, warming alcohol beer. Quite nice.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun beige schuim welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een fruitige wat zoete met tonen van pruimen en rozijnen. De smaak is zoet, caramel, toffee, hout, rozijnen en pruimen.

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Aroma of dates, figs, caramel fudge, raisin, boozy grapes, oaky vanilla, rich malt and fruity yeast. Taste has sticky dates, figs, raisin, caramel fudge, vanilla, oak, grapes, caramelised malt, fruity yeast and warming booze. Good dessert barley wine, going to enjoy sipping this one.

Heerlijk zoet, heerlijk zacht, iets verwarmend. Smaakt een beetje zoals een goed ge-aged bier smaakt, een beetje dat ronse appelstroop achtige zonder rins te zijn. Fijn bier!

Aroma is sweet, toffee, brown sugar, raisins, barrel aging of the armagnac is also noticeable, in the taste is pretty sugary sweet, perhaps a bit too much, damn 15.4% 😱, figs, dark fruits, chocolate, port, red wine, but still too sweet imo ....
