Made with our friends from Salford’s Pomona Island, this is a twist on a malty imperial scotch ale (AKA ‘A Wee Heavy’) fermented on Citrus A20 yeast then aged in Island Scotch whisky barrels for 6 months.

Hazy brown colour with thin head. A really unusual and challenging mix of flavours. Bitter and sharp citrus pith win the fight against sweet malts and woody barrel dryness. The end result of this fight is a slightly sweaty, cheesey note (especially in the aroma)

Caña en el Lúpulo feroz 21..06..2020. Color marron oscuro con poca espuma beige. Sabores maltosos intensos con toques especiados y caramelos con suaves maderas quemadas y tostadas y notas de licor. Cuerpo medio con bastante sabor y suave amargo.

Draft. A dark amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of spices, wood, whiskey, caramel, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus fruits, hops, alcohol, whiskey, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Päris hapu, sidruni mahl, linnased, magusust on ka, tummine keha, alkoholi on nats tunda. Ok, ootasin klassikalist scotch alei vbla väikese sidruniga taustal, see on pigem nagu hapuks läinud scotch ale. Aga noh hedonistlikul skaalal ei ole halb...
