Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 07/04/21. Light haze on a chestnut brown pour with a good sized egg shell white covering that stays to parteee. Nose is beechwood smoke, dried fruits, light bonfire woods, tobacco. Taste comprises smoked malts, light ashtray, toffee, toasted brown sugars, smoked meats, camp fire, biscuit. Light in body, prickly carbonation, semi drying close. Solid for a low AF affair and pulls off the smoked effect well ... just a shame it's a little prickly and overcarbonated for my liking.

Bottle from Geers. Best before: 7/20. Hazy amber, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of burnt biscuit, smoked ham, wood, coal, tobacco leaves, peanut. Taste has a neutral-sweetish maltiness, red apple & peanut along a smoky-meaty profile. Finishes not too dry, herbal hops & wood, smoked malt & nuts. Light body, oily texture, average carbonation. Distinct profile of course for a low alcohol beer, but for me there is no point in drinking this.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 07/2021, from a supermarket, 20210218) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoked ham, grass and malts. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, grass, metal, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky and bitter. The light body was hidden by the strong smoky notes. Surprisingly nice.

50cl bottle from local shop. Poured clear dark golden in color. Familiar Schlenkerla smoky aroma. Watery and dull overall. Like smoke added in water. Smoke, grains and water.

Bottle. Nose is meaty, smoke, Bavarian cheese, ham, malt, slight sweet. Taste is dry, smokey, umami, grain, hints of meat, earth, hint of aniseed, medicinal bitter and smoke finish. Very good for the strength.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe: BBE May 2021. Poured into an old 'Wolnzacher Brauhaus' glass tankard at home on 20th Jan 2021. Went well with my evening meal of a Ham Salad. Amber body, huge off-white head; so large in fact I had to stopping pouring. Initial beer body was clear amber, second pour it became 'smoky' and there was sediment floating within. Aroma and taste is of course smoked maltiness.
Appearance of dirt water.smoky,malty.has some bitterness.a bit rough.definitively a good low ABV beer. Bbf:07/2021

6-4-6-4-13 Bottle, nine months before bbd. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden, with a big creamy head. Aroma is smoked malts with bratwurst und schweinshaxe, as well as grainy spices, earthy notes and notes of wood. Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is malts with notes of smoked meat and sausages, as well as grains, toffee and wooden minerals. Fairly balanced, and very quaffable and an excellent low Abv alternative.

Amber with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with smoke, and hints of grain and hay. Malty and a bit thin flavour with a drying and somewhat bitter finish

Poured into Aecht Schlenkerla lager glass. coz zaczne od zapachu, dla nie wtajemniczonych w swad. dla mnie to mega bajeczny wedzony naturalny aromat, intensywny przy niskiej slodowosci, niemal bezalkoholowej schlenkerli. pachnie spalanym drewnem, lub ogniskiem z suchych jesiennych lisci, dobrze wysuszona krakowska i sliwka sechlonska tez sie kojarzyla. wyglad, spora i bardzo trwala piana, znaczaca swoja koronke wewnatrz orginalnie dedykowanej szklaneczki. kolor metny, miodowo-bursztynowy. super piwko. Pairing with IGP Sechlonska Plum.
