Bärnstensfärgad vätska med lågt skum. Arom av tjärad ek. Uppiggande smak med väldigt nedtonad röksmak. Lätt och neutral beska. Förvånansvärt smakrik trots sin låga alkoholstyrka.

500ml bottle as part of a delivery from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Brownish gold in colour, clear with a smattering of white head. Smoky aroma of wood and charcoal. Light berry note and a hint of tannic tea. It's sweet at first but becomes noticeably more bitter, slightly jarring so, toward the finish. Watery body as expected with some light carbonation. A good low alcohol beer, and the smoked malt probably obscures the flaws that often appear with beers this low in ABV.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours unclear ruddy gold with a small, foamy off-white head. Light sweet flavour with nice smokey notes, mild liberality, dry ham, leaves. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry, flinty finish with more dry smoke character, toasted malts, accents of ham, soft leafy bitterness. Nice amount of depth for a low ABV beer.

Bottled 500ml
Clear copper colour, small off-white head. Light typical wet smokeyness of Schlenkerla. Light-bodied, of course very watery. Flavour is .. well Schlenkerla with typical Bamberg smokeyness. Very watered down, a bit harsh bitter. Okish low alco for Schlenkerla lovers.
