@home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Clear deep golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet and roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar, alcohol notes. Taste light light heavy to medium sweet and light bitter, malty, some honey, biscuit, bit sticky mouthfeel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, caramel, burnt sugar, rather sweet bock but good balance makes it drinkable and nice.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is honey, caramel, cereal, pale malts. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Drinkable, but very sweet.

Bottled (from BierZwerg). Golden colour, mediumsized white head, that leaves lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some alcohol, mild nutty notes as well as some mild herbs. Flavour is alcohol, some nuttiness, mild caramel as well as some slight grainy notes. Balanced, but nothing all too special.

Bottle 500ml (BZ, BB 09/2015)
Clear golden color, small white head. Sweetish maltyness in the aroma and also very light herbal hops. Medium-bodied, oily palate. Semi-sweet maltyness in the flavor, low bitterness. Malty and not very alcoholic bock for this ABV. Very clean, malty flavor. Even a bit boring I would say although nothing wrong in this brew.

Klare dunkel goldgelbe Farbe, ordentliche weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch scharf getreidig, malzig, leicht süß. Geschmack kräftig malzig, intensiv getreidig, würzig, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice small head. Starts strong, quite malty, more and more spicy. Light alcoholic notes. Finish still strong, malty, dry background. Okay.

Smooth and malty, intense bitter caramel, roasted malt. Viscous, Malzbonbon, but not too sweet. The aftertaste is malty-sticky, still quite dry, fresh but deep, roasted caramel, burned sugar and nice bitter. Great beer, that is not too sweet but dry-roasted-malty with caramel!

Yellow with white head. Sweet with a bit of hoppiness at the end. Decent session beer.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hay, toasted, fruity, sugar, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, hay - grass, bock alike. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110406]

Bottle. Courtesy of Fonefan. Pours clear golden with a white head and lacings. Nose is sweet. Bread, grain and grass. Sweet flavor with a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied.
