Old caramel, brown sugar, wet wood, raisin. Sweet red apple, raisin & sugar. Vague herbal hops, warming cognac alcohol. Sweet but quite subtle.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour with a mediumsized foamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, caramelly, some ripe fruit, mild alcohol as well as some cognac tones. Flavour is cognac, ripe fruits, some toffee and mild alcohol with some slight yeasty elements too.

Bottle, 75 75cl corked. A hazy, golden colored beer with an off-white, finger thick head. Rather boozy nose with dried fruits, faint notes of caramel, some wood and a cognac touch. It’s full bodied and warming, with a nice carbonation level. Some bitterness in the boozy flavor. Dried fruits and some wood chimes in. Lasting boozy finish. Too much on the boozy side this one, but interesting any way. 160102

KRS/KØLF 020116. Golden colour with an off-white head. Flavour is cognac, malt, alcohol, wood, spices, apple, caramel, dried fruits. full body. Very nice beer.

Bottle @ RBBWG 2016. Many thanks Dylan! Orange amber colour, medium carbonation. Very sweet and boozy beer with notes of vanilla and lots of cognac. Light bitter finish. Not bad but not the best BA beer.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, wood, apple, caramel and dried fruits. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, dried fruity and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle - Sweet and boozy barrel with apple and sweaty notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, fruity and like it smells. Boozy sweet mess.

Sampled at RBBWG16 . Thnx for sharing ! Pours unclear amber, small white head. Smell is sweet, cognac, oak, some glue factor. Taste is sweet, Sugar, cognac, oak, bit bitter. Very high carbo. OK mf .

Bottle sample @ RBBWG 2016, thanks Dylan. Dorée, col fin beige. Retrouve un caractère très belge, et typique de toute cette série de HTD. Boozy avec le s12% qui sont bien présent, profil malté caramel, p^le, avec un ajout noble qui est minime. Le côté Cognac est là mais pas spécialement le mieux pour ce genre de bière. Retrouve plus une impression de chaleur que une dimension plus atypique de la barrique.
