Draught at Bayberry, 12/16/17.
Hazy peach-copper-golden with a small, off-white head that fizzles away to ring quickly.
Loooots of Brett in the nose with a very big helping of lactic acidity, as well. Juicy tropical fruit esters encompass the usual spectrum of pineapple-guava-kumquat with light lime-like character too. Very ebulliently fruity with a dash of honey-like malt as an afterthought and more slight cereal grain character. Big citrus notes make you think this has oranges in it, yet it is all well-integrated, soft and the Brett just steals the show with its gentle, slow-fermented expression.
In the mouth it's initially quite tart, lightly puckering with strong citrus overtones and a softly grainy, adjunct/cereal-like character that adds good complexity. Tartness eventually becomes balanced by juicy fruit notes as well as sweeter, honey-like malt. Tight carbonation, high attenuation, malty texture, no alcohol or flaw.
