The 12th in a series of beers brewed to celebrate our first festival, Friends & Family & Beer, is a Sweet Coconut and Chai Stout brewed with our friends from Monkish, Other Half, Trillium and The Veil. Infused with Bundobust's chai spice blend, as well as coconut, vanilla and almonds, this unique dark beer is one to take your time over, unravelling its many layers.
Aroma & Flavour: Cardamom and clove lead, blending with cocoa and coconut cream, and followed by cinnamon, warm ginger and sweet vanilla
Body: Full-bodied, luscious, rich and silky
Aftertaste: Sweet coconut and toffee, but with dryness provided by a lasting spice heat

Can. Black pour with lots of big floating chunks. Aroma of strong spices, ginger, coconut, cardemom, vanilla, chai herbs, malt, caramel, chocolate and cherry. Taste is a real explosion of flavors, with lots of ginger, coconut, chai spice, cardemom, chocolate, fruity coffee, cherry, some malt and a long spicey finish. Delicious spice stout.

Canned 30.04.19. Big chunk of coconut floating around. Gingery smell, something else spicy too. Pitch black, no foam. Taste is very chai: cardemom and some ginger, and lots of coconut. No chocolatey sweetness, only lightly sweet, and some acidity. Meh.

19/10/2019. Can from Hopsters, Ipswich. Pours black with a short lasting tan coloured head, which left an oily film and some large off-putting chunks. Big complex evolving aroma including cardamom, allspice, chocolate, coconut, aniseed, vanilla, ginger and dark fruits, Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Full body, oily slick texture, flat carbonation. Bit of a curious one, enjoyed aspects of it but not the big hitter I’d hoped.
