Rhubarb and Custard, the perfect combination? Just like the sweets, but sour. Not overly thick or cloying, soured using our house lacto strain. We used real rhubarb and vanilla pods for the authentic experience.

@home poured into a tumbler. Hazy yellow golden colour, small frothy white head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, vanilla, custard, whipped eggs. Taste medium sweet and sourish, custard, lemon, retronasal custard and egg. Light body, smooth texture, average carbonation, mild sweet and sourish aftertaste, lemony, refreshing, interesting fruity mild sour ale nice.

Can from KWM. Appearance - absolutely custard egg yellow. Pure white head. Nose - funky and eggy with an undercurrent of some fizzy sweet that could very well be rhubarb. Taste - not so eggy this time, thank goodness. Creamy lemon and rhubarb fizz. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy texture. More funky than sour. Overall - interesting beer, even if the nose is a bit eggy/sulphury.
