Icebock comes from the process which concentrates flavours with freezing of the beer. This means that some water crystallises into ice, while the remaining liquid concentrates. For this icebock we brewed a very special barley wine, barrel aged it, blend it with our barley wine Hagger and froze it. After weeks on -24 C, it was time to drain this super rich liquid. Expect intense flavours with longlasting aftertaste and warming feeling.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 22/04/24 (wee hours). Lighter shade of black with a khaki cap that thins to spotting. Nose is treacle toffee, spice, dates, prunes, herb, fruit cake mix, molasses. Taste comprises figs, spice, booze, molasses, toffee fudge, dates, prunes, spice, liquid fruit cake. Full bodied and some, oily feel, semi drying close with a big punchy boost offered. Deep level glass cleanse required ! That aside a solid sipper for the mega boost ... decadent AF.

14th April 2024 First off, a big fuck you to whomever decided to coat this I'm rock hard crumbly dry wax. Took several minutes to get through this rock hard coating amd left shards of black wax everywhere, had to get the hoover out. Fuck off with this shit brewers! Right then! Almost clear deep amber brown beer, a bubbly tan head is on the sparse side and fucks off very quickly. Smooth palate, inevitably a little viscous given the hefty abv but, still has good fine minerally carbonation. Boozy creamy dark toffee and caramel, touch of dried fruits. Fair bit of alcohol spice on the finish but oddly, not a lot of alcohol heat. Yeah, a sticky viscous and boozy Barleywine. So the question is, what's not to like? Apart from the fucken wax. Long savoury linger.

Bottle with Ogivlado and veceo at Goblet. Blackish body, with cola undertones, no head. Huge aroma, dusty mainly, big barrel notes, huge raisins, creamy and soft before it hits the dust, literally, caramelly, some gum. Lean taste, sweetish, creamy but ending dry. Big, lovely chocolatey notes, roast, some raisins, some alcohol and bitterness, barrel, actually quite drinkable for the ABV. I think it's starting to age out of its prime, bit disappointed because I was really looking forward to it.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to MAD Mitch. Pours clear copper-brown with a small, foamy off-white head. Big and sweet, of course, with ample liquefied semi-dark fruits, toffee and caramel, raisins, booze, bourbon, vanilla. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with delicate carbonation. Warm to hot finish, lots of toasted malts, brown sugar, more semi-dark fruits, lightly dried toffee. Delicious stuff. Certainly the kind of thing to drink in a very small dose, but it’s a lot of fun and impressively drinkable for its heft.
