Icebock comes from the process which concentrates flavours with freezing of the beer. This means that some water crystallises into ice, while the remaining liquid concentrates. For this icebock we brewed a very special barley wine, barrel aged it, blend it with our barley wine Hagger and froze it. After weeks on -24 C, it was time to drain this super rich liquid. Expect intense flavours with longlasting aftertaste and warming feeling.

Bottle. Dark chestnut brown, tiny beige head, nonlasting. Initially stronger alcohol nose, whisky. Later some more biscuity notes and even later on lots of dry fruits. Sweet start, syrupy sweetness with some nice alohol warmth. Mild afteratste. Silky body. Warming, not burning. Nice sipper, but strong.

Thanks to me. Clear dark brown beer, a few tan bubbles. Smooth palate, very slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Rich chocolate malts. Quite a big savoury salty bourbon note dominates the mid. Finishes quite light but with a small bucket of spicy booze. Tasty and layered and pretty darn drinkable.

Bottle at the columbus tasting 24/11/2022. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A clear deep amber coloured pour with a no head. Aroma is semi sweet, cough syrup, liquorice, figgy pud, hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, sticky brown sugars, figgy pud, boozey cake, hot alcohol. Palate is medium sweet, oily, hot alcohol, boozy, some vanilla.

Bottle, 0.33l, shared with David and Simona. Aroma of caramel, oak, vanilla and dates. Pours clear brown color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head. Taste starts with sweet caramel, oak and vanilla, following is dried fruity with whiskey note, mouthfeel is warm and mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. 20/8/2022. Bottle shared at Crafter Shop, Sofia. Pours close to black with a small bubbly beige head. Super luxurious aroma. Sweet, boozy, toffee, dried fruits, wood, dates, fudge cake. Sweet tasting, low bitterness. Rich, smooth, warming alcohol finish. Super easy and satisfying to drink. Not a drop of this one was poured.
