Icebock comes from the process which concentrates flavours with freezing of the beer. This means that some water crystallises into ice, while the remaining liquid concentrates. For this icebock we brewed a very special barley wine, barrel aged it, blend it with our barley wine Hagger and froze it. After weeks on -24 C, it was time to drain this super rich liquid. Expect intense flavours with longlasting aftertaste and warming feeling.

Alkoholischer Geruch, was sich im Antrunk widerspiegelt. Malzig, cremig, minimale aber vorhandene Karbonisierung. Würzig, minimale Herbe, der Alkohol wir erkennbar stärker. Mittellanger Abgang, konstante Aromatik. 9/10/9/9/12/9

33cl bottle. A very dark brown beer, no head. Aroma of very strong dark malt, ripe fruits, raisins, wood. Taste of strong dark malt, heavy malt, raisins, wood, vanilla. Boozy finish.

Bottle sample at a Yana's tasting at Max's place. Amber-brown. Malt, vanilla, whiskey, wood, lots of alcohol, sweet and umami, really boozy. Hard to drink.

dark brown to ruby colour, practically no head at all, only some minimal beige lacing; aroma of apricot jam, some prune, burnt sugar, butterscotch, vanilla, moderate chocolate and intensive alcohol; taste of toffee, vanilla, dried apricot and cherry, minimal cocoa and spicy alcohol; great one, though very far from something considered as a 'beer'

Bottle. Dark brown, no head, big sugary legs. Milder nose than expected; caramelly brown sugar. Flavor is fantastic, a sparkly smooth caramel-and-nuts on the tongue, very complex with just a hint of soy. Massive big mouthfeel with nice big, smooth bitterness at the end perfectly balancing the huge sugar content.

Bottle at the Munich Ratebeer Christmas tasting, at Jonas's, Garching, Friday 17th December 2021. Pours very dark brown, velvet moutheel, this is stunning. Thick, warming, chocolate brownie, warming but so, so easy drinking. Caramel, a little alcohol, lovely.
