A murky and golden beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruitness, perries, earthyness. Taste has fruitness, spicyness, light earthyness. Medium bodied. Basic good beer.

Donkergeel bier met schuim wat snel wegzakt. Bier komt onmiddelijk uit de fles bij openen. Smaak is bitter en kruidig met een vrij krachtige rooksmaak, wat fruit en veel alcohol. Nee niet mijn ding.
Edit 31-03-2024, opnieuw geprobeerd en nu blijkt het bier stukken beter dus mogelijk was er met de vorige fles iets mis. Bier is veel minder actief en het schuim blijft ook veel langer staan. Van de rooksmaak is evenmin iets terug te vinden. Bitterzoet met iets van banaan, wat graan en citrus zoals het hoort.

Clear blond gold beer, creamy off-white head, a little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet impression, banana, very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, bubble gum, very yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of banana, some vanilla, a bit yeasty, gentle bitterness, a bit spicy. Aftertaste: yeasty, banana, sweet, malty, alcohol, bitter touch, decent.

Small, slowly dwindling yellowish head, leaving lace over finely carbonated opaque orange beer. Toasted, rather "hot" malts, caramel/sugar syrup; yeasty features with spicy esters, orangepeel. Bitter(ish)-spicy, with again toasted, 'hot' and caramel notes. Finish is however quite bitter, and under the influence of the quite high carbonation. Again lots of yeast features. Medium bodied, quite slick, alcohol prominent. There's nothing wrong with this; however, the proudly mentionned 'Belgian hops' indeed convey as usual, a rather indifferent bitterness, not very aromatic. Very Belgian indeed.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a chalice. Clear deep golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, thin layer remains with yeast circles, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malts, Belgian yeast, apricot, banana, cloves, nutmeg,. light honey Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, yeast, apricot, banana, light honey, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, husky and yeasty notes, lingering alcohol and spices in the finish, very nice tripel.

Bottle from Spar, Ostend. Clear golden-orange, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe apricot, pear, apple, honey, clove, dough, fruit liqueur, vague varnish. Taste has sweet apricot, pear & soft banana, honeyish and doughy malty profile with spicy clove-like bitterness for a phenolic effect. Floral hoppy finish, lingering ripe fruit yet something dry-yeasty too to balance things out; rather boozy rum-like alcohol in the very end. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good, sweetness was actually kept in check but eventually a bit too heavy on the alcohol.

Pours cloudy blonde. Scent is mild banana, stronger spices (peppery phenols, but in style of triple, not as sharp as the saison ones). Taste is medium intense. Stronger on the banana here. Mild sweetness, even a tad more dry than average for the style. Restrained bitterness ( but present nevertheless). Very decent tripel.

Süffiger, süßlich alkoholischer Beginn. Weich, helles Malz, kräutrige Hefenoten. Süffig bleibend, konstant, mittellanger Abgang. Deutlich erkennbarer Alkohol. 12/8/8/8/6/8
