Think of coconut, think of chocolate and think of pure luxury in your glass, that is what this beer is all about. A rich aroma paired with a decadent flavor profile.

440mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of coconut, intense lactose, and some dark fudge. Flavour is rich, with lots of burnt dark sugars, light coconut, and molasses. Lots of dark sugars and molasses, not too sweet on the finish, and well-balanced. Great stuff.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour; there seem to be some coconut or fat particles in suspension. Aroma of cacao and coconut. Smooth mouthfeel, less body than expected, and more alcohol; moderate residual sweetness; cacao flavour, roasted nuts.
Very good.

440ml on Ryan's deck shared with Alex. Appearance: dark brown with lots of coconut (I suppose) fractions and a beige head. Aroma: toasted coconut, sweeteness, some roasted malts. Taste: quite sweet, lots of coconut accompanied by roasted malts. Overall: good for a RIS with coconuts, but I would prefer it with less bitterness.

Poured from 44cl can. Black with minimal beige head and a fair bit of chunks. Chocolate, mild coconut, not a ton of depth. Decent nonetheless.

Can 440ml (Beerdome)
Opaque colour, steady creamy brownish head and lace. Toasted nose is heavy on chocolate and caramel. Full-bodied. Roasted, sweetish, chocolate, dark fruits. Coffeish dessert pastry.

It does what it promises and it does fairly well. Prettt smooth, boozy, some bite to it. Lightly roasty, plenty of dark chocolate, but most of all coconut. Sweet, but not as sweet as most moersleutel pastry things. Actually pretty enjoyable.

On tap at Henry & Sally's. It's close to black in the glass, with virtually no head. Heavy caramel sauce, dark chocolate, mocha and hints of dark dried fruits in the aroma. Some alcohol and oat biscuits too. It's full bodied, lightly warming and sweet on the palate, with caramel sauce sweetness dominating the flavor. Dark chocolate, coffee hints, dark dried fruit and some molasses. Alcohol pushing a bit towards the finish. Sure not bad this one. 220430

19/III/22 - 44cl can from Willems (Grobbendonk), shared @ home, BB: n/a, nothing on the bottom or elsewhere on the can (2022-266)

Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy irregular beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: coffee, very roasted, caramel, a bit oxidized, soy sauce. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, caramel, hint of vanilla, chocolate, more dark caramel, pretty bitter, metallic touch. Aftertaste: alcohol, sweet, sugary, caramel, molasses, bitter roast, hoppy, coffee, ok but not getting any coconut here… :-(
