Pilsner-Style Lager Beer
Paying homage to the history of the farmhouse pastures we call home. Nebo Pilsner helps to immortalize Whippoorwill farm. As a working dairy farm in the early 1900’s, they, as many dairies did, turned to crafting and selling ice cream as a monetary necessity and very important added-value product. The illustration on this can reflects on those early trailblazers while simultaneously referencing how we as brewers , prefer to have our pilsners poured. See below for instructions.
1. Vigourously tip and pour half into glass
2. Wait sixty seconds
3. Repeat step one

Pours slightly hazed gold into a pilsner. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving gloppy lacing. Grass, cracker and mild citrus aromas. Crisp with sweet honey, sourdough and meadow upfront turning to mild pine and pith in the medium length finish.

Can. Pours a clear light yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has dry and slightly bitter grass with a good amount of hay and a bit of straw coming through. Flavor is more hay forward, with growing grass and a light straw in the finish.

In the can the aroma is a hoppy pilsner. Aroma in the glass is similar adding in some tea. Flavor is like nose, tea gets stronger, nice balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Good body with the tea lasting into the finish but not unpleasant. Nice brew.

Can from Ultimate Ales. Drank straight from the can. Grainy malt aromas with a bit of lemon and mineral notes. Mild leafy hop notes. Crispy on the palate with mild pepper, lemon, grain & tea leaf. Pretty solid pils.
