Hazy IPA

Galaxy and Vic Secret open the show in this Hazy IPA adding some nice stone fruit flavours. The real star here however is Mosaic, taking centre stage with its piney, dank qualities.

A minimal use of lactose is added to give enough sweetness for balance.

On tap Moody Ales, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out chalky notes, earthy hops, and bready malt. Flavour is chalky and powdery and bitter, with earthy hops, chalk, and some vegetable bitterness. Really crap quality. Muddled and confused.

Cloudy gold with a small white head. Nice orange peel notes. Citrus, bit of pine and a bitter peel bite that throws everything off. A bit harsh taste.

Milky orangey yellow body with little foam. Good wet hoppiness on the nose, tangerine and pine and chalk. Flavour is citrusy chalk, soft orange zest; ends up a little watery. Mediocre maybe, hitting a few good notes for a hazy IPA.

Can from Denman LRS, Vancouver
Cloudy to murky blond colour, dull. Fruity aroma, tropical, a bit of onion. Good mouthfeel, very lightly chalky, leading to some astringency in the finish; the malt is bready, the hopping is good, fruity, initially there is some gooseberry and grape, later there is more pineapple and bitter orange.
Good, but loses some points for being clean and fresh in the beginning, but a bit dirty as more deposit pours from the can.
