This version of Scrumper Sour goes to dark fruits - black raspberries and cherries give this go around a bright acidity and a touch of sweetness to make for a refreshing and balanced beer.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out tart cherries and raspberries upfront, with some wood and a little lacto. Flavour is tart and fruity, with plenty of tart berries upfront, a little lacto to provide body, and light-to-moderate sweetness. Nothing really complex here, but the fruit is at least pleasant. Okay sour.

Murky brown body and very modest foam. Nice cherry and malt on the nose, like a black forest cake. Flavour is tart cherry, sharp biscuit notes, melloe caramel. A little thin on the finish. This would work well with just a bit more dark grain influence.
