375 c&c from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours dark ruddy brown with a beige head. Aroma of slightly tart/sour red berry with some tannic notes. Med body or about. Flavor is tannic/astringent dry and woody with definite red berry. Pretty close to Flanders sour/brown. Mildly, mildly bitter, but tart/sour/wood stands in to cut any malt down to size. There is malt, come to reflect upon it - definitely necessary here for flavor support.

On tap at Cascade, pours a deep dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out sour red fruits upfront, with red wine barrels and tannic notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of perfumey notes, tannins, and red wine barrels. Perfumey and vinous finish. Very good.
