Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team. (aka Brooklyn Ale)

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and a little dry. Modest carbonation. Smooth dry malt. Whisper of overripe fruits. Touch of bitterness before the dry finish. Duller than dishwater!

12 fl oz bottle, as Brooklyn Pennant Ale ’55. Orangey dark amber colour, foam white head and aroma of biscuity malt, caramel, yeast. Taste is sweetish malty, caramel, bready with a light fruity spicy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Had a taster of this at a liquor store a while back. Light barely aroma, very light hops with only notions of citrus. Light bitter sour finish. Brown pour.

12oz bottle of Brooklyn Pennant Ale ’55 from Wegman’s, Buffalo, NY. Golden amber with a ring of white head; caramel aroma; sweet biscuity body; and some more caramel to finish. More a Vienna lager than an EPA.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed November 25, 2012.
The appearance has a golden amber colored body that left a one finger white head that died within fifteen seconds. Lots of carbonation was seen rising.
The smell malty with some citrus and sweet pine.
The taste was the same adding a bit of caramel and light hops.
On the palate, its light and very drinkable. It was slightly harsh on the tongue due to the carbonation.
Overall, this is a decent English pale, perhaps a bit too carbonated, but mostly good.

From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a clear amber with a thin off white head. Malty aroma. Light caramel flavor with some tart white grape notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly astringent finish.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Amber with a decent, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and biscuity malts, with a hint of hedgerow fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
