Bottled 500ml (BB 03/2012)
Clear amber-copper color, small white head. Strong Shep Neame style minerally, toffeish, citrus hoppy aroma. Light body, but decent palate. Some citrus, dry pinewood. Decent, but with watery finish.

Bottled (thanks hanniku!). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, wooden, mildly fruityness and some and the typical "house aroma". Flavour is caramel malts, mild nutty notes, some house flavours as well as some fruity notes. Quite strong grassyness in the finish.

Bottle (from Tesco, York): Clear, copper coloured, small lacy white head; typical "english", fruity-hoppy nose with a tinge of toasted malt; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied; slightly lingering bitter-fruity finish with a subtle sweet maltiness and aromas of dried fruits. Archetypal and pleasant english Bitter.....

50cl bottle from Tesco. Light gold with a fast fading off-white head; rather musty aroma - some hops and perhaps a hint of citrus; lightly bodied with some fruity malt and grapefruit and a lightly spiced bitter finish, leaving a sticky feeling in the mouth. OK.

6th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Well balanced beer but can’t find anything else to say about this bland but inoffensive beer.

Cask at Gate Inn, Marshside, Kent Mid brown bitter with flowery hops and distinctive Sheps yeast on the nose. Some acids, and light malty fruit, but hops are the dominant flavour. Very pleasing session bitter. First time I have had it or seen it.
