Redhook Long Hammer IPA is a West Coast classic. The generous addition of hops during the brewing and fermentation process gives our India Pale Ale its characteristic bitterness and piney citrus aroma and flavor. Tracing its heritage from another Redhook classic beer, Ballard Bitter, Long Hammer IPA is one of America’s favorite IPAs and Seattle’s #1 local IPA.

Fra keg på Westow House Crystal Palace 28 Nov 15. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. Forsiktig & god ferskenaroma. Smaken innholdsrik. Tørket aprikos. Lett bitter. Svakt syrlig etter hvert. Bra øl!

Bottle. Gold with a large white head. Aroma of lemon, herbs, boiled lollies, biscuit. Sweet biscuit, boiled oranges, pithy lemon, pine. Bitter, astringent finish. Crude.

Bottle. Whole Foods Market, Piccadilly, London. Clear gold. Barely a head. Bottled 12 weeks ago, and if there was much of an aroma, then it’s mostly been and gone. Try hard and there’s a little earthy hop. Light toffee malts. Taste is light sweet, with a little juicy bitterness. Palate is lively, and fairly crisp. Finishes light bitter. It’s ok. Pretty drinkable, without being in your face.

Bottle. A- Pine, spruce, juniper, herbs, A- Orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Pine, juniper, bitter, caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spicy finish. O- Started off smelling like I walked into a damn Colorado pine forest. Tons of pine and herbs. Taste was about the same with some caramel that subdued as it warmed. Not as bad as I envisioned it to be, but not for me.

Geile Flasche!
