OCT-2018. Batch 2. Cloudy golden, white head with good lacing. The aroma has orchard fruit, a little canned fruit, some bubble gum, a faraway hint of malts, very little resins. The taste is pretty dry, though not drier than really dry non-Brut IPA's, the bitterness feels like moderate, herbal and piney - pretty soft, but still, there's done harsher notes that the previous batch did not seem to have. 6-4-7-4-14=3,5

AUG-2018. Batch 1. Growler from the brewery. Cloudy golden, off-white head. Smells nice - a modern IPA aroma profile - fresh juice and hop oils, some bubble gum. The taste is close: hoppy, but no big fruit - some pineapple and white grapefruit, minus the sugars - neither much malts left. It is not bone dry, if that's what you expect from something called "brut", rather a properly fermented beer. These juice bombs from the last few years, as well as malty and bitter monsters of the previous decade, taught our palates to get used to their sugars. Smooth clean mouthfeel. Hoppy, without getting ridiculously juicy. Top level IPA and a "proper" beer. 7-4-7-5-16=3,9.
