Our first foreign export stout is a team effort with our New York pals Thin Man Brewery. Style Guide is a great entrypoint into the less sweet side of the dark beer spectrum - instead the roasty and nutty qualities of this beer are a touch bitter and dry, not unlike cocoa or baker's chocolate.

Can from Beerdome. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 021020

16oz can from Wegmans. Dark brown, a few bubbles. Dry roasty malt in the aroma. Taste adds some sweetness to the ashy malts. Dry finish, mild bitterness.

Opaque colour, small beige head. Light toasted nose with coffee, cocoa and chocolate plus some earthy grainy notes. Light to medium-bodied, quite light for its ABV. Toasted malts with chocolate, cocoa and hazelnut. Clean flavour, nothing stands out, could be a bit more malty.
