Our smooth but pungent juice bomb in a can! πŸ‹πŸŠπŸπŸ₯ The equivalent of a well-filled basket of exotic fruits. For this beer, we used different kinds of hops, of which Mosaic and Simcoe to give it that citrussy and tropical flavor. A great refreshment on a summer day. Crank the Juice is one of our four beers from our core range. This beer style is one we really enjoy making and try to experiment with and learn to perfect.

Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Idaho

Can at home, from HOTM online, 20/03/23. Hazed orange with a good sized lasting white cap that retains well. Nose is orange zest, melon, papaya, perfume, tangerine, soft malts. Taste comprises sweet tropical fruit esters, pineapple, airy malts, floral tones, ripe melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy hop bitterness. Okay pale if a touch on the sweet side and lacking some bitterness.

440 ml can. Pours a thick whitish gold with moderate head. Aromas of melons, guava, dull lemons, white pepper and wheaty malts. Flavors of lemons, melons, chalky mangos, and wheaty malts. Bright for a hazy (as opposed to pithy).

Moersleutel NEIPA, can from the Albert Heijn supermarket in Lokeren, shared with Craftmember and his wife Hinke. Snow white, creamy, moussy ring of foam on a misty yellow-blonde beer with apricot tinge. Aroma of unripe pineapple, pomelo, moldy lemons (old hops?), dank wet marijuana, leftover dough, lychee, green kiwi, melon. Sweet, cleanish onset, bright fruity hoppy tones from the start, reminiscent of melon, pomelo and some mango, fizzily carbonated with smooth, somewhat fluffy body; doughy malt core with cereally edges, fully drenched in tropical hoppiness (pomelo and melon again, lychee, orange) with a chalky note on the edges and a light citrus pith bitterness in the tail. Solid and enjoyable NEIPA, but I maintain that Moersleutel is still better in stouts and porters than in IPAs; I will, however, rate mildly here, taking into account the fact that this comes from a supermarket shelf, in itself a rather hostile environment for any beer to spend extended amounts of time.

hazy pale yellow colour, large, though not too stable white head; aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine and slight biscuity notes; hop-dominat taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; great one!
