Sergey's hunt, tasting at Ryan's, bottle
Viscous black colour. Aroma of chocolate, spirit, almonds, rubber. Full bodied, nutty, dark chocolate, a bit salty, mild vanilla; the alcohol is well hidden; some more roastiness in the finish.
Excellent.

750ml (thx, Brent for proxying and Matt for helping with the border crossing) shared @ Ryan's. Appearance: dark brown with dark beige head. Aroma: lots of whiskey barrels, fruity, sweet, some smoked dark fruits. Taste: lots of barrel character, fruity, moderately sweet, quite thick, a bit roasty. Overall: very nice.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma is quite roasty, with gentle whiskey and oak, a little cocoa, and vanilla. Flavour is rich and syrupy, with lots of thick molasses, vanilla, sheet gentle oak, and moderate roast. Really nice subtle whiskey notes that cut through, adding another dimension of complexity. Thick, syrupy palate, without being abrasive or cloying. Excellent.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong roast, wood, rye, bourbon, cocoa. Slick body, roasted malt, wood, chocolate, boozy finish, dry, very good.
