Surrender to the Void, an irregular series of outrageously decadent pitch black stouts brewed using an enormous, complex malt bill and mounds of debaucherous adjuncts. This time it’s a lovely day, so The Void downs a quadruple scoop waffle cone of vanilla affogato gelato with extra maple coated pecans on top. Watch out for brain freeze! Oops, too late. Turn off your mind, relax and float down stream

From a 440ml can on 6/4/2021. Pours pretty close to black with a big deep tan head. Has a lovely huge coffee aroma, with wafts of maple syrup and vanilla. Super delicious on the sip, with masses of maple syrup, chocolate, caramel, fudge, brown sugar, and vanilla against a huge coffee background with just a hint of roastiness. The mouthfeel is sumptuous, silky and very creamy, the carbonation softish. Not quite up there with the Banoffee and Coffee version, but a truly exceptional dessert stout none the less.
