Bottle from a local bottle shop. Brandy upfront with roast, oak, red fruits, red grape, chocolate, hint of cherry. Medium sweet, boozy finish with some sharpness. Nice Brandy aroma, fruity, alcohol.

Je trouve globalement les notations sur le site globalement dure pour cette version de la Sin & Remorse vieillie 1500 jours en fut de brandy. Pourqoi bouder son plaisir pour un imperial stout qui trouve ici toute sa plénitude. Autant la version de base seule ne m'avait pas complètement convaincue, autant elle se prête parfaitement à cette version barriquée. En verre, nous sommes sur un noir total sans effervescence ni mousse. Le nez est très appréciable, sur le moelleux au chocolat, la noisette, le café, le caramel, le rasin sec et le brandy. En bouche, si le brandy est bien présent, il n'est aucunement agressif et vient donner du tonus à une base dense et riche à souhait. J'ai l'impression que le brandy vient en plus aplanir les imprécisions de la base. Très belle plénitude et présence en bouche pour une très belle gourmandise.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 03.2041) im 2022-11 getrunken. Dieses Stout kommt mit einer deutlichen Kaffee-Aroma und leichter Paprika-Aroma daher. Der Körper ist recht kräftig und die Balance zwischen Röstbitterkeit und Leichte Süße ist recht ausgewogen.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, almost no head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, dry. Earthy notes, a lot of chocolate, cocoa. Dried fruits. Warming-malty finish. Nice one!

Smooth mild beginning. Caramel and raisins, fruity with a malty back. Very dry in back with dusty chocolate and lots of wood. Grain there, wood and dry bitter chocolate. The brandy is woody in the back, nice grainy with a wood brandy chocolate finish.

33cl bottle. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of wood, brandy, glue, strong dark malt, coffee. Taste of heavy strong dakr malt, wood, vanilla, brandy, liquorice. Boozy finish.

Czarne nieprzejrzyste z ciemno brązową pianą drobno pęcherzykową, nietrwałą. W nosie wyraźna beczka, dębina, rodzynki, przyjemny delikatny destylat. W smaku wytrawne, gorzka czekolada, popiołowa paloność, suszone śliwki, przejrzałe winogrona. Głęboko odfermentowane, brakuje mi ciała, za wodniste. Plus za świetnie wyeksponowaną beczkę.

Bottle. Black, dark brown creamy head. Intense nose, Boozy/solvent/iodine/Ethyl valerate initially. Medium full chocolate bar body. Chocolate, a lot of higher alcohols, wood turpentine, roast, iodine/soy. Smells and tastes barrel damaged to me.

Bottle. Black color with quite a dense beige head. Aroma is very strong brandy barrels, raisins, green apple phenols, chocolate. Taste is green apples, iodine, grainy, chocolate, dry finish but it doesn't help, it really is not for me. Velvety iodine mouthfeel, fine-bubbled carbonation. Not for me.

Bottle from Beerdome. Dark black with small head. Chocolatey boozy nose, not so complex but tasty. Flavor is very roasted, umami soy hints, a bit like a dip for sushi on the aftertaste but in a good way. Nice one and not too sweet.
