This is what you might call our session porter. Made with heaps of black, chocolate and barley malts, Muddy Boots has a fantastic chestnut and chocolate flavour to it that you won’t find in our other beers. There’s some of our trademark Yorkshire bitterness in there (of course), but the creamy richness of that malt reigns supreme!

Cask-conditioned at the Phoenix, York 9/10/2019. Dark, reddish brown, with a tight, beige, head. Chocolate, slightly toasty malts and a hint of berry sweetness, leading to a warming finish. Enjoyable.

24/10/2018. Cask at the 41st Norwich Beer Festival. Pours dark mahogany brown with a long lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee and dark fruits. Light to moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and smooth texture, soft carbonation. Decent brew.
