2025 into a wineglass showing amber brown with sparse white foam.
The nose shows intense notes of sweet caramel.
The palate is light bodied and lightly carbonated. Dry with a bourbon forward vanilla smokiness throughout and a moderate hoppy bitterness on the finish.

Double whammy! This followed the FW Stickee Monkee. Alcohol burn apparent, but not overpowering. Pure barley essence, aroma and taste. A real gem.2014, 2015 & 2016 versions rated.

2018 release, in December. Pours a bit darker than most. Malty with moonshine

Kleur is helder diep bruin met een lichtbruine schuimkraag die snel inzakt. Geur is bourbon, zoetig, hout/tannines, cola, iets umami. In de mond: zoet, bourbon, houtig, boozy, iets fruit, sarsparilla. Smaak is zoet, houtig, lichtjes bitter. Behoorlijk sterk alcohol gevoel, warmend in de mond en keel. Body is medium (op z'n best). Lange nasmaak, zoetig, salmiak. Had iets dikker gemogen, maar sowieso heerlijk!

rom Bine and Vine. 2023.
It pours a very dark brown with a small head of tan foam. Lacing and retention is excellent.
It smells of caramel malt, Bourbon, hints of maple syrup, overall sweet but not in a bad way.
The taste is caramel malt, some roast, Bourbon, maple syrup, dark pitted fruit. Delicious with the alcohol there but it is not intrusive.
Full bodied with good carbonation, I would drink this again. I will because I have 2 more bottles.

Sample during Blarney Wine Festival 2025 on 03/15/2025. Dark mahogany-brown pour with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a dense film. Sticky small patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, oak, caramel malt and dark fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, figs, earthy malt and a touch of hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Overall the OG is still a very enjoyable Barley Wine.

Sample during Blarney Wine Festival 2025 on 03/15/2025. Dark mahogany-brown pour with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of bourbon, ripe fruit, malt and tobacco. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, chocolate malt, plum and a tough of earthy hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Definitely showing some signs of age after 12 years but still an enjoyable Barley Wine.

Sample during Blarney Wine Festival 2025 on 03/15/2025. Dark mahogany-brown color with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, oak, dark fruit and caramel. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, fig, chocolate and walnut. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Holding up well at 11 years old, still a good Barley Wine all around.

Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, oak, chocolate and dark fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, raisin, chocolate malt and a bit of spice. The finish is oaky and figgy with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Holding up well and still a good beer.

Sample during Blarney Wine Festival 2025 on 03/15/2025. Dark mahogany pour with a thin foamy light beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of bourbon, oak, malt and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, dark fruit, earthy hops and caramel malt. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Hoppier than some of the older versions, and still holding up well.
