Confoundingly unpronounceable yet eminently drinkable—welcome to §ucaba, an epic barrel-aged English barley wine whose original name was undone by a two‐bit legal challenge. Big, boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combine with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt ﬂavors are framed in oak with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. §ucaba is built to last and can age for years to come (we recommend counting the years with an abacus).

Bottled 355ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Marko. Amber/brownish coloured, small off-white head, malty caramel nose. Sweet malty, caramel, dried fruits, notes of alcohol and mild nutty with sweet warming finish. Vintage 2019.

Bottle, 2019, shared with Ogi, Azzie and Veceo. Lovely brownish amber-red, clear body, some off-white head. Huge oxidised caramel and raisin aroma, some oxidation. Lean, soft caramelly-raisiny, lightly oxidised taste, vaguely herbal. Very well balanced and drinkable for the ABV, very drinkable, okay warmth. Ends dryish, bitterish. Very nice, but slightly too oxidised for my tastes to be 4+.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. SOme toffee notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

2019 Vintage, Tap at Aces and Ales, Las Vegas, 19th February 22. Pours a chestnut brown. Aroma is boozy dark fruit. Taste is booze soaked fruit, liquor, vanilla, wood, bourbon, nice age on it. Quality and far to easy to drink

Bottle at home. 2018 Vintage. Has a dark brown colour with a small beige head that fades fast. Aroma of oak, tobacco, cocoa, bourbon, leather, raisins and caramel. Flavour of oak, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, bourbon, dark chocolate, leather and raisins. Warming alcohol in the end. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Malty and rich with heavy bourbon tones.
