A dank, resinous and piney hop bomb, nicely balanced with a rye, pepper and caramel malt backbone.

On tap at Drygate, pours a clear, caramel amber with some cloudy, white head. Nose has candy, orange, pine, hand soap. Flavor is more straight forward with grain, orange, candy, a little orange soda. Finishes dry. Very drinkable. A good local beer.

Medium offwhite head. Clear deep brown body with light carbonation. Perfumy tropical fruit aroma with spicy notes. Dryish tropical fruit and wood taste with spicy perfumy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dryish fruity wooden aftertaste with toasty earthy notes. Nice, drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from odd bins, Edinburgh.)

Appearance- very clear, light ruby, a thick cream head which lasts impressively. Aroma- caramel, rye, malt, hop hints, orange, cereal. Taste- bitter chocolate orange biscuit sums this one up nicely. Good hop bitterness, very malty, caramel hints, rye presence, clingy bitter finish, full and slightly thick mouthfeel. Nice stuff.

Clear, reddish-amber beer with a thick bubbly head and a strong, typical rye ale smell with a hit of citrus chucked in. Flavour is initially quite sharp but it mellows out. Citrus, hop, sweet caramel-y sort of taste to balance that out though. Feels every so slightly watery in the mouth and there’s not a huge amount of aftertaste. Nice though.

Bottle from Drygate. It pours lightly hazy orange - amber with a small off-white head. The nose is soft, juicy, sweet, peach, nectarine, spicy, toffee and bread. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, yet smooth, brown bread, chewy malt, resin, pine, toffee, spice, bitter orange peel and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well-rounded and rather drinkable. Nice one
