Kiwi & Coconut Sour IPA
Under a Groove was brewed in collaboration with our friends at CRAFT Beer Market. Brewed with flaked wheat and rolled oats, hopped generously in the whirlpool with Comet and Amarillo. Under a Groove was fermented with our house Kveik culture and double dry hopped. After fermentation, we blended in a small portion of our foeder aged golden sour which lends an light citrus acidity and conditioned in the blend on kiwi and coconut.

On tap at House of Funk, pours an opaque cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma doesn't really bring out much of the fruit, but seems to exude the chaotic, rather earthy kveik yeast, along with some tartness and lacto. Flavour is appalling, with a nasty dirty water character that perhaps is from the kveik; there's no fruit detectable, nor hops, just dirty, soap-like notes. There must be something wrong with this. Awful.

Milky yellow body with no foam. Smells of very nice coconut and fresh pineapple juice. Flavour is fresh coconut with good pineapple, maybe soft grain hints. There's a lingering bitterness here that wrecks it though; so close, I have no idea why they would be okay with that bitter aftertaste.
