Dirt is a blend of two brews produced on 14th July and 22nd October 2017. Munich, Vienna, Crystal & Rye malts were chosen to create two red/brown coloured worts, which were fermented in red Bordeaux barrels. This beer has low carbonation to give a soft mouthfeel. It was kept in bottle for 6 months prior to release, allowing the flavours to mature.

Bottle at home in Hackney. Big tart leathery berry character, ample acetic twang, soft burn, low funk, some rotting old wood. Good stuff overall.

Bottle from Corks of North St, Bristol. Pours opaque muddy amber copper with a smidge of a beige cap. Aroma: dried fruits, red berries, caramel, oak. Taste: moderate tart, sharp berry fruit tartness, earthy, some balsamic hints. Medium body with low carbonation. I found this quite muddled, I should have tried it fresher.

Sampled at Wild Festival Groningen. Hazy dull brown with off white head. Dead leaves, dried plums, dry earthy notes, light overripe red fruits, dank nuts. Solid medium sour, very light bitter and sweet. Medium bodied.

Maybe the least impressive Mills of this session, and still great. Does taste a bit dirty or earthy, indeed, but mainly a lot of wood and vinous notes. Nicely tart, a bit fruity, some wood. Very complex, but a bit weird.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention V, big thanks to Rich The Villain, 08/06/19. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a decent beige cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is tangy berries, funk, dried fruits, wood must, earthy, barnyard esters. Taste comprises dried berry skins, stoned fruits, wood must, light spice, oak, tangy red berries, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a balanced acidic streak. Decent.
