Bottle from Eebria, Direct from the brewery consumed at home Sunday 5th November 2017 whilst cooking Cottage Pie with a Cauliflower Cheese topping and Loz makes Fig, Raspberry, Hazlenut and Honey Cake. Rich and sweet, honey shows, but punchy and warming there is also quite a hoppy hit. There is a lot of woody elements here, citrus, notably marmalade in fact lots of marmalade. Fruity lots of fruitiness, this is a good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

2016 catch up - Intense and widely varied flavours, whisky, malt, stout, caramel, velvety and amazing. I drank this over a year ago and it still sticks in my mind. You may draw your own conclusions.

Bottle pours with a murky deep copper body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up reduced sugars, brown sugar, caramel and booze. The taste delivers sweet caramel, brown sugar, some mildly bright booze and some sweeter malts. The booze is well hidden creating a pleasing sipping experience. I’ll do more of this anytime.

Bright clear deep red amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, sweetish, light caramel. Mild vanilla. Soft whiskey, a little fruity. Ripe fruits and mild spice. Smooth semi dry finish. Rich and layered and does a good impression of being barrel aged.

33cl bottle pours a murky, brick red with some sudsy, off white head. Nose is zippy with booze and brandy, cherry, fruit cake, raisin. Flavor is interesting, a little fortified wine, brandy, light booze, bubblegum, cherry, candles. A little astringent on the finish.
